However, a standard plate carrier is worn over clothing and is built to accommodate hard armor plates and soft armor panels for rifle protection. Plate carriers often include external tactical features like traditional MOLLE, laser-cut MOLLE, pouches, mic tabs, custom agency ID placards, etc.
Is concealable body armor as protective as regular plate carriers?
+Concealable armor is typically soft armor rated for handgun threats (NIJ Level II or IIIA), while plate carriers hold hard armor plates and soft armor ballistic panels that can stop rifle rounds (NIJ Level III or IV).
